A virtual training game for post-earthquake damage inspection

Post-earthquake damage assessment and safety evaluation are urgently required but necessitate proper training to deliver accurate results. Traditional methods include technical manuals multimedia films which passive time-consuming. Therefore, the contribution of this paper lies in automating inspection process through game-based learning. More specifically, a serious game was developed that replicates real-world allows players virtually perform typical field survey damages. The gaming tool tested on several civil engineers who conveyed inspecting within virtual world can potentially enhance their performance context.
